TESTIMONIALS

“I was watching Mr. Roger’s documentary replays. I cried as his singing fed me. It is similar with your songs. It’s a feeding of love you are bringing. We are all bringing what engages us most.”  - Honor Godin.

“I am so passionate about your music. My heart’s desire is to share it with everyone I meet.”  - Mary Oppermann

“Thank you for all you do and dare. Your songs are so healing, and they go sooo deep. The way you present them just pulls us in.”  - Julia Laskowski

“I have listened to your CD several times through and I am amazed! These aren’t just simple songs. The songs embody your life. Are You Listening: Very clever lyrics and the surprising sound effects were delightful! In My World: The lyrics about childhood are so poignant and virtually universal. I Am Made New: One of my favorites. Great lyrics. ‘Hello shame—childhood friend.’ That is so strong. I was well aware of your gifts as a wordsmith; however, I had never heard you sing or heard any of your music, so I was unprepared for your talent as a songwriter. You are such a gifted singer/songwriter. Thanks for the blessing of your music.” — Shirley Ferry

“Your music has been playing consistently for three weeks throughout our home. My husband and our son pretty much know every word! These songs have provoked very deep conversations and have allowed our rebirth as a conscious family to unfold so naturally and playfully. It’s been a tool for me that I hold onto and cherish daily.”Kayla Falke

“Your music fills me up to the core of my being. It became my Best Friend, assisting me to move forward in some very dark times. I cherish every word of each song, and I listen to your music almost daily. Step by step I’m remembering it only takes ‘One Drop of Love’ to shift my world.” - Therese Faison

 …with Gratitude

One of the wonderful aspects of following your dream is how contagious “dream” energy is. I spent decades creating songs in my heart to play in my living room. Launching songs into the world is a completely different experience. An African proverb says, “It takes a village to raise a child.” It definitely took a village to guide songs from my living room into global live streaming!

The recording studio is my new happy place. I love every minute of recording, collaborating and creating with musicians, singers, producers, web designers, graphic artists and others who are sharing their passions. As I continue to record and launch songs, I feel deep gratitude for all who have supported my creative journey. Thanks for playing with me. Your talents and input enhance and enrich everything you touch. Keep on Soaring!

  • To the Faith in Wellness community:  Thank you for celebrating the birth of my first 13 songs. Without community, my I AM MADE NEW cd would still be a “someday” dream in my head, instead of a “heart’s dream come true” in my hand. You listened, cried, and sang along. You called me forward and voted my victory. May these songs remind you of the conscious journey we share and be one more tool for staying in the game.  www.faithinwellness.com

  • To John Edward Ross & Studio Sassafras: Whether it's recording, sound engineering, digital orchestration, arranging, mixing, or adding expert guitar tracks (base, electric, acoustic, etc.), John Edward does it all. His studio is as welcoming as it is state-of-the-art. His passion for “supporting artists with creativity and craftsmanship” inspires amazing collaborations. In addition to John Edward’s impressive musical skillset, his broad connections across Houston’s music scene bring amazing resources to the table (outstanding studio musicians, singers, mastering, web design, marketing assistance, etc.) Thanks, John Edward, for creative support beyond anything I could have imagined. Someday we’re definitely doing a song with tuba, 4 shaker tracks, and at least one “Galileo”.  www.studiosassafrasmusic.com

  • To Courtenay: The rich cello tracks on We All Belong and I Say Yes to Love are courtesy of grammy-nominated cellist and native Houstonian, Courtenay Vandiver Pereira.  Check out her cd with Clarence Grant: Journey to Light, or one of her affiliated sites: www.mercuryhouston.org What a profound gift her contribution was! I’m still pinching myself.

  • To Max: Speaking of truly amazing cellists, Max Dyer’s genius supported Welcome Back, The Code, and Forgiveness. Do I still cry when I listen to that bridge swell? Yes. Check out Max’s ensemble Cantiga at the Texas Ren Fest, his cd: Inspired, or his web site at: www.maxdyer.com

  • To Jessica: Heartfelt thanks go to Jessica Zweback Zoller, for percussion and back-up vocal support on You Were Meant to Shine and Circle Song. Jessica’s spark and talents enhanced the playful spirit of each song we partnered on—especially that frog finale.

  • To Laura: Thanks, Laura, for lending your flute talents to Welcome Home. This lullaby about birthing ourselves called for breathing—and your inspired, nuanced performance turned breathing into beautiful music. Laura Charlene Lucas, flautist and orchestra teacher at Crockett Elementary.

  • To Kristen: Thanks, Kristen, for violin and viola support with a Celtic, improv flair on One Drop of Love, as well as sweet tracks for Welcome Back and The CodeKristen Jensen, Houston violinist and music educator.

  • To Billy: Billy McQueen, your sensitivity, versatility and expertise have convinced me percussion isn’t just for rock music. Your precision on I Am Made New still conjures images for me of battalions of marching angels. Your gentle mallet work on We All Belong gave it just the heartbeat and shimmer that song required. Gorgeous green drum energy drove Repeat After Me and One Drop of Love and your onyx kit powered I Say Yes to Love. It’s obvious you were BORN TO DRUM. www.driventodrum.com

  • To Julia, Mark and our host of support singers: Thanks to Julia K. Laskowski, extraordinary singer, performer, songwriter, comedic talent, vocal coach and mentor. Your voice lifts the world and melts hearts. Your friendship has enriched my life. Thanks for seeing the vocal butterfly in my caterpillar. Your mentorship enabled me to believe in myself. You and Mark made a great global chorus on We All Belong and I Say Yes to Love. Were we as giddy that day as the day we recorded tracks with the back-up chorus (Mary Wagoner, Mary Oppermann, and Bibi Zambrano) for Repeat After Me, Circle Song, Love’s Domain and One Drop of Love? Yes, I suppose we were. I imagine that’s what happens when you are high on love, joy, singing and creative play. Keep being just exactly who you are. julialaskowski@yahoo.com
